My Approach
My counseling approach integrates CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) within a solid biblical foundation. When helpful, I also incorporate attachment theory, family systems perspectives, and emotional regulation strategies. Much of the work is guided through a narrative therapy lens, helping clients understand their stories, recognize the impact of past experiences, and move toward a renewed way of living.
Clients may experience a range of benefits, including reduced anxiety and stress, diminished negative thought patterns, healthier emotional responses, and improved interpersonal relationships. Some may even develop deeper skills for building intimacy. It is important to recognize that healing is not always linear; at times, clients may feel worse before they feel better. Throughout the process, I may gently challenge certain perceptions or assumptions and offer alternative ways of understanding. Clients may revisit painful memories or emotions—such as sadness, anger, or fear—as part of meaningful therapeutic progress.
No matter what you are facing, I prayerfully rely on the Holy Spirit’s guidance to help you align your life with God’s Word. As you walk this journey, you can expect to experience God’s comfort and the steady assurance of His presence and care, for Jesus Himself is our Wonderful Counselor (Isaiah 9:6).
